Not only does she share a common background and a cultural understanding with many of her clients, she says it gives her a great deal of satisfaction to see immigrants achieve the home-owning dream. “I helped a family with three kids and parents from the Philippines. They didn’t think they could own their home as they didn’t have enough credit history. We pursued their paperwork all the way to the Philippines, which of course took some doing, and on the possession date even the dad was in tears.
