Joanna Kopacz gets teased about her drive for perfection. She laughs about it and then admits her perfectionism is probably what makes her clients so happy. “It shows in my work,” she says, “I want to find the perfect house in the perfect neighbourhood for my clients. And I want the negotiations to go perfectly so we come away with the best deal possible.” Joanna’s success stems from a solid background in real estate. Trained and licensed in New York in 1989, she worked for two years in the city renowned for it’s tight housing market. Joanna delighted in being able to help people find the right apartment in her work as a leasing agent. In 1991 she and her husband decided to make the move to Canada and drove across the country from Montreal to Vancouver, looking for a city they could love. They chose Calgary, partly because of the sunshine and the mountains, but mostly because they found it to be “the best place to live in Canada”.
