CIR Realtors Dana and Sean Furlong are a two-for-one special, married and working together for their clients, their focus on building trust, working hard and communicating well makes all the difference.

Working as a team is a huge advantage for clients, with twice the expertise and experience, double the hours, and two perspectives on a property. “We’ve always worked together, and it’s always worked for us,” says Dana. “For one thing, some people may be more comfortable dealing with one or the other of us, and of course we have different strengths. We can work independently, but most often, we work as a team.”

Creating great connections with people, and building long-lasting relationships with clients, are what Dana and Sean love about being Realtors. They thrive on helping people, making things happen, and going to bat for their clients, whether they are here in Calgary or are coming from elsewhere.

Working for people goes beyond simply understanding them, to exceeding expectations. “There is no can’t in real estate,” Sean says. “We have our clients’ trust, and it’s our job to work for them, to deliver, whatever it takes. We take that responsibility very seriously.”

A skilled negotiator, Sean feels strongly that it’s his job to get his clients the very best deal possible. “I can be hard-nosed, and I think people appreciate that,” he says. “I’ve always been in business, and I take the same approach whether I’m negotiating on inventory for my own company or I’m negotiating on behalf of a client – I’m determined to get the best deal possible.”

Having come to Calgary from Newfoundland, Sean and Dana understand what it means to relocate, whether it’s a move across the city or across the country, buying or selling a home is a stressful undertaking.

“We help with the stress, the pressure, the details. Knowing you have a patient, knowledgeable and capable team working on that part of the puzzle really puts our clients at ease.”

Committed to community, Dana has taken a particular interest in an incentive reading program she created for the community school. She provides monthly reading awards, and the teachers and students have embraced the idea as part of their reading program. As well, Sean and Dana work together as committee members on the annual Calgary Affinity Dinner, an important event that raises funds for Memorial University student bursaries.
